The hometown weekly newspaper for the Westminster, South Carolina area in western Oconee County, the News also serves the communities of Long Creek, Oakway, Madison, Pleasant Grove, Hopewell, Holly Springs, Toxaway, and Weldon Road. Located on historic Main Street, the newspaper is published each Wednesday by Keowee Publications, Inc.

Established in 1954 by former publisher Jack L. Hunt, The Westminster News is a member of the South Carolina Press Association and the National Newspaper Association.
